Framing the Shade Garden

I had this old frame that was so pretty I did not want to throw it away, so I created a live picture of one of the most beautiful shade gardens we have ever grown. The picture frame is full of inpatiens and surrounded by hydrangea, sea oats, asparagus ferns and caladiums.

Candle Trees

Our candle trees are lovely this year and their blooms mean that fall is near. I am so grateful to have this beautiful garden surrounding my house that I can view and enjoy from every window.

Breakfast in the Conservatory

This morning Paul made me breakfast and we ate out in the conservatory. I have not been in the yard very much since the ant episode a few weeks ago and miss my gardening so very much. On the bright side, I am alive and still able to enjoy the garden that I built with Paul over eggs and coffee.

Earlier this year, I received several lily bulbs from a wonderful person that I have the privilege to know and work with. I planted the bulbs at the entrance to my shade garden, which gets a good amount of sun.

Happy Ten Years at 2537

This Memorial Day weekend we celebrate ten years at 2537 and it is so hard to believe that much time has gone by. When I look around, I sometimes take for granted or forget about all the hard, sweaty work that went into each project.
