Reflections from the Garden

Reflections from the Garden is a place for quiet observations shaped by seasons, patience, and lived experience. Some reflections come from tending plants; others come from listening closely to the body, to limits, and to change over time.

The Final Clue
When the chaos finally quieted, I could see the pattern that had always been there. What I learned changed how I understand both illness and the human mind.

All along, my body knew,
each storm was leading me to the truth.
Who knew that thought and feeling, fear and pain,
could rise from blood and nerve and brain.

I’ve learned the mind can twist and bend,
when signals fail or cells defend.
But maybe, too, this truth will show,
there’s more to this than we know.

If my long road can light a way,
and help another see one day
that healing starts where science finds its cue
then every storm was worth it too.
