Some flowers are show stoppers, even through our Texas heat. This gomphrena is one of those steady companions. I started it from seed in March, and here we are in November and it’s still blooming. No fuss, no special treatment just dependable color all season long. And the best part?

There’s a quiet satisfaction in starting a garden from seed. It requires patience, observation, and a bit of faith. This year, I experimented with a few new varieties—some were a success, others not as much—but the process itself was worthwhile. Feverfew stood out right away.

You won’t find many gardens like ours in this neighborhood or here in North Texas. It surrounds our home and invites you in from every doorway and window.   We love to choose unique plants for our garden.
