So Many Buds to Bloom !! Too Little Time !!

Daylight savings time is over today and we fall back with one more hour of sleep tonight. But there are so many buds left to bloom in the yard and I fear that Old Man Winter is right around the corner.

Cannas Sweet November Blooms

This beauty will not stop blooming, it is as lovely as the first day of spring. It continues to produce the most exquisite blooms ever. This November morning, I got to see it for myself.

Moon Vine

I received a moon vine slip from a special friend of mine a few months ago. This flower opens in the evening and lasts through the night, remaining open until the morning sun. This plant originally comes from a seed.? What a lovely addition to my rose bed.

Obedient Plant

Hmmm..... I found a new plant at the store a few months ago called "Obedient Plant" that I have mixed feelings about. It is very beautiful and long blooming, although it tends to be very invasive.

Paul's 10 Minute Pumpkin

I am married to a very creative man. Saturday night we were invited to a Halloween party that was holding a pumpkin carving contest. Paul brought the pumpkin home at 5PM that evening and we needed to leave by 6PM. I said, "EeeeeeK" and he said "Nooo Problem".

Majestic Elephant Ears

Another miracle from a bulb. I want more of these next year. Have a happy week !!

Caladiums - Each Leaf a Work of Art

Many times Paul notices things that I just take for granted. He stops and notices beautiful clouds in the sky, the moon, and the stars. The other day as we were walking through the shade garden admiring the caladiums, he said, "Did you ever notice that each caladium is a work of art".

Fox Hanging out on Fox Glenn Circle

This weekend I looked out of the window into the side garden and saw two eyes peering at me. At first I thought it was a big cat, but a closer look found otherwise. This foxy fox was sound asleep under the elephant ears here on Fox Glenn Circle.

Our Best Garden Ever

This year has to be our best garden yet !! Sometimes, I cannot wait to come home from work so I can walk through the yard and enjoy all the blooms. My favorite addition this year was the elephant ears. What a majestic addition to our front shade garden.
