A Sunny Yellow Wednesday

When I got home from work I found yellow mums and yarrow blooming in the front garden. Yellow is such a sunny color and always makes me happy. Mums are a great perennial and bloom in spring and fall. My yarrow does not always bloom each spring but when it does it was worth the wait.

I am so sorry we missed the last 7 years of this event because were pleasantly surprised this weekend when we attended the 8th Annual White Rock East Garden Tour in Dallas in a quaint neighborhood called Little Forest Hills.

My favorite thing to do is laugh with Brian. On Mother's Day we set the record and laughed so hard we cried. It had been a long time since I laughed that hard and it felt good. Today when I went in the garden I saw my tropical beauty bursting with color and laughing in the sun.

Today I walked out into the garden and saw my gardenia bush blooming. Oh my gosh, I only waited two years for it to bloom. As I waited for this gardenia to bloom so do you wait for your children to bloom.
